Introducing a Light Revolution for trustworthy e-Signing

SignDoc® Web offers the full potential of embedding components for signing electronically of PDF and TIFF documents into existing applications with web-like convenience. Check out the ultra thin client with small client footprint running as a browser application.
  • Users don't have to install large client side software packages.
  • The client loads SignDoc enabled applications more quickly and reacts without delay.
  • Your documents remain in the secure environment of your back-office infrastructure.
  • Embedded fields, like for example text-fields, check boxes can be populated in the browser window.
SOFTPRO's innovative software engineers combined Web 2.0 technology and a slick Java-script enhanced GUI to enable active document fields in the browser without downloading the complete document. This maintains security and offers the full power of electronic forms while consumption of network-bandwidth, overall footprint, and installation effort are all minimized.

SignDoc Web also offers interactive signing in the browser with dynamic update of signature fields. Experience true web signing without any security compromise. Benefit from the full power of biometric signatures captured on SignPad eSignio or other capturing devices.

SignDoc Web has been implemented with a strong focus on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments.

How To distinct between SignDoc and SignDoc Web

SignDoc

Fill-in forms, sign and seal documents with a trustworthy legally binding electronic handwritten signature
SignDoc Web

Also covers the remaining process chain, As an example, pre-filling form-fields with your data (e.g. from a customer relation management system), storing documents in your management system (documents management systems). Option: storing signature data found in the documents into your signature database.
In SignDoc forms can be filled-in, signed and sealed with a trustworthy legally binding electronic handwritten signature while SignDoc Web also covers the remaining process chain for example pre-filling form-fields with your data, storing documents in your archive system (DMS), and optionally and storing signatures found in the documents into your signature database.

Check the four typical steps of the "green workflow" when using SignDoc Web

(1) Choose document   Select prepared documents in a web application to display and complete data (fill-in PDF editable form fields) prior to siging

These documents may optionally be pre-filled with data from other data sources - for example CRM-systems, patient records databases, production tracking systems…

(2) Sign Paperless   There is more in the signature field than meets the eye: In addition to the signature image, the electronic file includes the static and dynamic (biometric) characteristics of the signature. The quality of the captured signature data is suitable for either instant or later verification – embedded using sophisticated cryptography methods to ensure the document’s integrity.

(3) Instant Archiving   The completed electronic document is automatically transferred to a document archive of your choice. SOFTPRO’s universal yet easy to use interfaces enable simple integration with virtually any document management solution such as SOFTPRO’s own SignInfo.

Alternative to an instant upload of the documents SignDoc Web also supports to work offline partially and allows an upload to the server at a later point in time.

The documents' status may be monitored - enabled by interfaces to "hook" into the document workflow on server side. Possible use cases: E.g. sending notifications whenever the document state has changed from e.g. "prepare" to "signed" inducing additional signers to sign the document

(4) Post Processing   SignDoc Web is the only system that enables the extraction of signatures from signed documents for further processing within your enterprise while maintaining the security and integrity of the signed documents and their signatures. These electronic handwritten signatures may be further used for authentication in other critical business processes: Signing in payment systems, applicants in government and administrative procedures, authorization of persons, and requests in intra-enterprise supervision and controlling.

Therefore interfaces allow storing of reference signatures in databases: Either SignBase® - a comprehensive and widely used solution that can deal with even the most complex requirements in the banking environment - or SignArchive - the solution covering the most important aspects for the administration of signature related data.

Initial software rollout and updating of workflow solutions with electronic signatures have never been easier: client functionality enabling filling-in documents and subsequent signing is disseminated throughout organizations by simply linking to the corresponding SignDoc Web application.

Using SignDoc Web's sophisticated plug-in architecture it's easy to integrate SignDoc Web technology based applications with document management systems (DMS).
  • On server side documents are provided in PDF-format together with a XML-structure that contains data that has been entered into the form-fields of documents.

SignDoc Web's demo setup is available for download. It comes with ...
  • ... an installation program, user interfaces and manuals in English and German plus an extensive documentation library about APIs.
  • ... a simple pre-installed file-based DMS component that exhibits the full potential of editing and signing PDF documents in the web-browser and storing them in the document archive.
  • ... a web application that embeds SignDoc Web technology into a starting page serving as an entry point for SignDoc Web technology. In your application scenario your own browser application will replace this screen as an entry point by directly calling the corresponding features of SignDoc Web wherever fitting into your own document workflow.
