Integration on application level:
|
Programmatic Integration:
|
- User interfaces highly configurable through initializations files (SignDoc) and properties (SignDoc Web)
- Easy and lightweight dissemination of applications with web-like convenience (SignDoc Web) or through a small setup (SignDoc)
SignDoc Web can easily be integrated with existing document management workflow:
- A simple file based document management system (DMS) component comes pre-installed with the SignDoc Web demo installer. Documents can be stored and later retrieved through a unique ID.
- Loading of documents into SignDoc Web identified by a URL enables enterprise wide sourcing of documents and templates
- SignDoc allows to work partially offline: Downloading documents, working offline and uploading into the online web-application enabled through self-contained documents
- Data captured in form-fields of PDF-documents available in XML-structure on server side (SignDoc Web)
Auto-insert Signature Fields
Electronic documents often come with embedded form-fields that can be filled-in using SignDoc. In this case the signature not only seals the document structure but also the inserted contents.
In scenarios where documents are created dynamically based on business data signatures have to be inserted dynamically. SignDoc can insert signature fields automatically at positions indicated by text-markers. The relative position of each signature field with regard to the text-mark and the size of the signature field can be freely configured in an easy to understand and simple to use configuration-file.
- Filling in electronic forms in the SignDoc rich client or the SignDoc Web browser client
- Modern and elegant user interface with configurable toolbars (SignDoc) leaves enough room for loaded documents
- Working fluently with very large documents that load quickly and can be browsed easily
- SignDoc Web enables lightweight ultra-thin browser applications: only changed form-fields and captured signatures are transmitted over the network, the document remains in the secure back-office environment
Some companies or institutions only stick with their paper based processes because users annotate comments or scribble some basic drawings on a sheet of paper. They may be not aware that a broad range of devices exist to digitize handwriting. Most of the devices which capture signatures may also be used to capture annotations or sketches - Tablet PCs for mobile usage and interactive pen displays which connect with a desktop computer.
SignDoc has built-in scribbling capability. The pen strokes from Tablet PCs or interactive pen displays are converted into digital ink. This feature also works with all supported Wacom tablets running under Windows Vista or Windows 7.
( please click here to downlload an overview).
This digital ink may be displayed in different colors (see image). Annotations or sketches are part of the secured document when signed with SignDoc. This functionality is ideal for SignDoc's integration in medical applications (e.g. for electronic medical records) but also in service and logistics enterprises.
- Out of the box signing with a handwritten "biometric" signature stored as a standard digital signature. Signed documents can be validated using standard PDF viewers - for example Adobe Reader®
- Multiple Signing: Insert as many signature objects into the document as required
*technical term for signature fields is "signature objects"
- One-click signing - when hovering over a signature field a tooltip indicates that the signing ceremony can be started with one click on the signature field
SOFTPRO provides a broad set of security features. The list below just contains some of them.
- Real-time signing in the web browser trough SignDoc Web: document remains in secure back office environment
- SignDoc supports the capturing of biometric data according to the standard ISO/IEC 19794-7: Biometric data interchange formats – Part 7: Signature/Sign Time Series Data. This standard has been largely influenced by SOFTPRO and its research in this area.
- SignDoc supports signer authentication utilizing handwritten signatures. It works with self-signed and third party X.509 certificates.

Optional Interfacing of SignDoc with SignArchive signature database enables verification of captured signature against reference signatures in database prior to accepting signature and embedding into document - with this option only authorized persons can sign documents
See which contents of the document has actually been signed by which signature and when. This includes changes to form-fields and also sketched / scribbling added to the document. Afterwards display history of signatures and contents also in standard PDF viewer - for example Adobe Reader®.
