◊ SignDoc Document Server - The Workflow Solution

The SignDoc^® Document Server provides the comprehensive solution to manage a security-enabled workflow for PDF documents. Thus it ideally complements the usage of the very popular PDF-standalone application SignDoc^® for PDF - perfect for all those that want to implement a straight through processing of electronic documents. It was designed with a strong focus to cater for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments.

It is a simple and convenient method for creating and preparing forms, presenting them to a customer, signing and returning them to a back-office - all electronically. Where ever you see SignDoc^® for PDF and the SignDoc^® Document Server at work the use of paper is completely unnecessary. Moreover the benefits of accelerated processes finally become a reality.

Features:

Pre-fill of the data fields in PDF documents (based on templates) with data from dedicated data sources
Display of documents in SignDoc for PDF for filling, signing and sealing
Upload of documents to the document server - either online or offline: Either immediate automatic upload or transmission (e.g. by e-mail) and upload at a later point in time.
Store documents with the option to extract and process content of data fields from within the documents - activated when attaching (even multiple) backend systems through a universal interface based on XML - e.g. SignInfo or third party document archives
Monitor the documents' status - enabled by interfaces to "hook" into the document workflow on server side. Possible use cases: E.g. sending notifications whenever the document state has changed from e.g. "prepare" to "signed" inducing additional signers to sign the document
Embed the document server's functionality in web-technology based applications and solutions with a service oriented architecture (SOA)
Interfaces that allow storing of reference signatures in databases. Two options are available: SignBase ^®/SignInfo^® - a comprehensive and widely used solution that can deal with even the most complex requirements in the banking environment, and SignArchive - the solution covering the most important aspects for the administration of signature related data (in preparation).

Extensions to integrate SignDoc into more complex processes

Administration and Verification of Signatures

	Interfaces that allow storing of reference signatures in databases. Two options are available: SignArchive - the solution covering a wide array of aspects for the administration of signature related data SignBase ^® - the very comprehensive and widely used solution that can deal with even the most complex requirements in the banking environment.
	Where access to a central reference data base is not applicable or possible, reference information may also be stored on a smart card.
	For the verification process, reference information of a signer may be taken from data bases such as SignBase or SignArchive or read from a smart card.
	Combination with various forms of electronic (digital) signatures - for instance qualified electronic signatures.
