After successfully downloading and installing SignDoc you want to buy an unrestricted license for a single computer or a few computers.

If you require licenses in small quantities we recommend highly that you order online - in SOFTPRO's web shop.

If these licences are the first ones you need for a larger project: Please exchange some details of your project and define which way of ordering licenses may be the best one.

From Demo License to Full License - Step by step

Every version of SignDoc you are downloading on our website is equipped with a free demo license which expires 30 consecutive days after it was activated. The license of SignDoc is bound to your computer's hardware. Thus we require you to provide us with a specific installation code ("hardware key"). Here's a step-by-step information. Note that the actual look and feel of the menus may slightly deviate from the screenshots provided below.

Paste your installation code from the clipboard (via "Ctrl" + "v") into the e-mail to SOFTPRO including the following information:

list the name of the application and the SOFTPRO order number precisely
"SignDoc - Order # SP20300"
"SignDoc for Adobe Reader - Order # SP20050"
"SignDoc for Microsoft Word - Order # SP20030"
quote your order confirmation number which you have received from SOFTPRO or one of our partners
list your full contacts details (such as company name, postal address, first and last name, phone number and e-mail address)
provide us also with the name of the person who is your key contact at SOFTPRO or one of our partners (in case if you have ordered through a partner please provide us with contact details of that person as well in order to speed up the process)

The file name of the your SignDoc license file reflects the flavor of SignDoc that you have chosen.

If your order in our webshop has been sucessful an individual download link for your license file is displayed.

After Purchase: Obtain SignDoc License per download from SOFTPRO's webshop - click on provided URL in the webshop display

Please store the license file on your local machine.

You will also receive a copy of your license file in an e-mail.

After Purchase: Obtain SignDoc License received per e-Mail from SOFTPRO's webshop. Please store the license file on your local machine.

Installing Your License Code

Open the license viewer (same procedure as above) and

Press button “Install License” and browse to that folder on your desktop where you temporarily stored your license file. The license file will be copied into the correct location automatically.
Hint: The default location for a license of SignDoc when using an operation system with English language definition is
"C:\Program Files\SOFTPRO\SignDoc\lmdata\SignDoc.lic"
(other default locations apply for the license files of SignDoc for Adobe Reader and SignDoc for Microsoft Word)

Please restart SignDoc or the application in which you intend your special version of SignDoc to run (Adobe Reader/Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Word) as indicated.

Store Your License File in a Secure Location

We strongly suggest that you keep a backup copy of your license file in a safe location on your computer or preferrably on an external (hard) disk to prevent the accidental loss of your license when you uninstall the application.
If you have to uninstall SignDoc: Please be aware that during the uninstallation process all the application files will be removed from your computer - including your license file (.lic). If you decide to reinstall the application on your system you will need to copy your license file again into the corresponding installation directory.

Using SignDoc for Demonstration Purposes

It is a similar procedure to acquire a license via SOFTPRO's sales force if you are

a partner of SOFTPRO with a signed partner contract
a partner with a specific agreement with SOFTPRO's department for Public Relations and Marketing

to use SOFTPRO's software for demonstration purposes (i.e. on congresses or trade shows) longer than 30 days and is thus entitled for a free license. In this case please send an eMail to your SOFTPRO contact indicating the purpose of usage as perecisely as posible - and related dead lines (e.g. an important customer presentation you may be about to prepare).
