The appointment of Edson Fontenelle as Regional Director South America was welcomed as a very positive signal by existing partners in Latin America like Disoft and Precodata. Thanks to his excellent network Edson has already contracted the Brazilian company Datapointer as new partner to promote the digitizing of handwritten signatures. Datapointer is already certified partner as they attended Softpros extensive Partner Academy in Dubai in mid-April.
Edson has worked in a major document management company in Brazil in recent years. In his former role he successfully managed several E-Signing projects in various verticals. He is very familiar with the challenges of going paperless in an efficient manner.
Peter Reschke comments: "We appreciate Edsons very detailed knowledge of all aspects related to signature processing. He knows the various signature verification and E-Signing solutions on the market very well and he is an excellent consultant with an outstanding knowledge of business and technical aspects. He speaks the language of the CEO as well as the "tecchie talk", so you can discuss Dollars and digits or to put it in a phrase which relateds to his Brazialian home base "the Real stuff". We can not think of any one better than him to grow our busines in South America".
Softpro is intensifying existing partnerships with system integrators in the region and intends to broaden its partner base in a sustainable manner. Edson Fontenelle comments: "We strive to be the preferred partner for electronic signatures based on handwritten signatures. Softpro stands for typical German values with its products which we cherish in our region: Outstanding reliability, robustness and trustworthiness. My intention is to give these products the local face to the market. I personally look forward to grow Softpro's partner eco system fast and efficient and make sure that we will have working partnerships. The two new partners Datapointer and Scansmart are excellent examples of the the type of partner company and highly dedicated contacts which will complement our existing partner base: They show full commitment in investing in training and equioment as well as setting clear business milestones. Shortly they will adress the benefits of E-Signing with Softpros product according to the requirements of their target verticals and applications."
For many years Softpro has been active in Latin America with its partner Disoft. A few years ago the two partners have installed the first automatic signature verification solution for check processing in a bank in Brazil and a second bank the following year. These solutions are known to run very smoothly. Today many other banks in Latin America are evaluating our solution suite too.
"Green IT" a hot tropic in Latin America
While other countries experienced a major recession back in 2009, Brazil emerged as one of the lucky few that was still prospering, of course at a lower level than in the years before. The icing on the cake in 2009 was that Rio de Janeiro will host the Olympics in 2016 just two year after the soccer world cup 2014. Brazil is considered to be the fastest growing country in Latin America and is offering a huge potential for SOFTPROs solutions.
The Signature Professionals recorded a record number of business inquiries from Latin America in the past months. Companies in Latin America are getting very serious about "going green". They seek a "green workflow" with less paper usage and trustworthy solutions for electronic signatures. Being recognized as a supplier for banks, Softpro in recent years, the company and their solutions now receive broad attention in other verticals as well with their E-Signing solution suite SignDoc. SignDoc runs already in banking, insurance, telecom and retail in Europe, America, Asia and Africa.
