Savings Banks in Spain sign digital on Softpro's SignPad

[MADRID/BÖBLINGEN] - 2009-03-03: The Spanish Confederation of Savings Banks (Confederación Española de Cajas de Ahorros, CECA) introduces SignPads in their primary process on a large scale. Softpro's SignPad eSignio tablet allows customers of Spanish Savings Banks to sign their banking documents and transactions both digitally and securely. The device was especially developed for the digitizing of handwritten signatures in close co-operation with Softpro and Wacom. CECA had intensively tested a broad array of available signature capturing devices. The SignPad eSignio has the features that Spanish Savings Banks are looking for: comfortable paperless signing which is robust, secure and cost-effective, all at the same time.

Another reason why CECA decided to choose the hardware and software solution from Softpro and Wacom was the convincing feedback from Europe's largest processing center Finanz Informatik serving German Savings Banks and their customers such as Berliner Sparkasse. The market leader in Germany's capitol is using the solution for more than a year and is very happy with it. CECA's system integrator Matchmind managed to integrate Softpro's Software Development Kit for signature capturing within a very short time frame. CECA intends to deploy this quarter the final production version after a pilot phase in which more than 70.000 client transactions have been signed using this technology. Spanish Savings Banks will save on the cost of paper handling and archiving and will be able to offer an enhanced customer experience in the branch.
