Venue

Our venue is the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin Hotel Stuttgart, located in the heart of the city. The hotel is centrally located on the most attractive side of the city with most of the key sights, and fine shopping possibilities just a short walk away. The Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin is known to be THE place to meet in Stuttgart. Of course it also offers excellent accommodation. The hotel also provides exquisite cuisine that has been awarded with a Michelin-Star.

The conference itself is held on the 1st floor. The key conference room is likely to be saloon #1. Just take a few stairs up from the main reception of the hotel.

  • by aircraft: Stuttgart International Airport is a 20-30 mins taxi ride away (approx. 25 EUR one way, travel time highly depending on traffic). Much cheaper and often faster: Take the S2 or S3 train to central station for a 25 min train ride. Buy a ticket for 3 zones (3 EUR) at one of the vending machines in the upper floor of the train station at the airport.

  • by train: Exit at Stuttgart's Central Train Station. The hotel is just on the opposite side of the street.
  • by car: Expect busy business traffic in the morning and evening hours. We highly advice to choose the train as preffered mean of transport to get to the SIGNATURE DAYS.
    • From Frankfurt: from A81 autobahn exit at Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen and follow B 10 to city centre. At the height of the "Pragsattel" (Prague saddle) join B27 and follow the signs to "Zentrum" (the city centre) - central railway station.
    • From Munich: exit A8 (heading towards Stuttgart) at Wendlingen; join B10 with direction Esslingen and follow signs to Stuttgart "Zentrum" (the city centre) / railway station.
    • Parking: You may use the parking "Kronen Garage". A special section of the garage is reserved for hotel guests. Rate: 2 EUR per hour, 16 EUR / 24 h.

Accomodation

Until 2007-04-26 a room contigency of "classic" single rooms in the Hotel Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin***** is blocked for a special rate of 185 Euro per night including breakfast.

Note that this price reflects to the room contigency. The room is also available on daily price basis when booking through online portals such as hrs.de or hotel.de(Rates vary according to demand and may be significantly cheaper or slighty more expensive).

"Almost next door alternatives" as middle class accomodation are for instance the Intercity Hotel*** or the "Hotel Unger****". An alternative in first class in 300 m walking distance is the "Hotel am Schlossgarten*****"

Location

For those of you who are visiting Stuttgart for the first time: It is the capital of the federal state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. The website of the tourist information has an extensive virtual walk of the town ("Virtual Stuttgart") which is worth looking at.

Web Access

The conference area has WLAN coverage by "m3connect". Tickets for WLAN access may be organized by the reception or the event organization and may be ordered in slots of 1 hr (4,50 EUR) 5 hrs (9 EUR) or 24 hrs (14,50 EUR) .
